I try to drink LOTS of water (which makes me feel full) if I know that I

have already eaten enough food for that day (or time of day).

I'd agree with others, though, that you should just try eating first to

make sure you're getting enough food/nutrients.

Thanks everyone.

I don't know what I would say to my best friend. I guess I

would say to at least stick to the plan she's following and do

the best she can because it's a small snag in a lifetime of

events. Sticking it out is what I do now, I just wanted to

know what other people do. I survived yesterday and I keep

doing better every day.

I know what you mean. It seems to me that when I'm *starving* having

something that I can really sink my teeth into helps, like being able to

pick up a sandwich and really chomp down on it!! (lc bread or atkins

rolls, of course!). Get your mouth into the action! put down the fork!!

I guess I worded that badly. So very sorry :( This is what I do... I

talk nice to myself about whatever is going on. Sometimes I have

trouble with that. When I do, I try to think what I say to somebody

else... then I say that to myself. I know you are quite good at saying

supportive and helpful things to other people, because you have said

some very very nice things to me! :) for which I am ever grateful :) I

talked mean/depressed/angry to myself for a long time and breaking that

habit was important to me and not all that difficult once I gave myself

permission to be nice to me. Of course, this may not be any kind of

problem for you at all!

The checklist of things I do for the diet is really important to me...

when I am in big trouble, I have quit doing one or more things. I make

sure I start doing them again. If I am doing all of them, I give myself

a pat on the back.

Congrats on making it through yesterday!!!!! Sounds like you are over

the hump of this snag!
