Guest guest
I should jump in here. I haven't started HC yet, still waiting for the right time of the month to take my canaryclub.org saliva test, but I've been on Armour for a long time. I went off the Prozac after getting on Armour. I thought I was doing great for a while, but I was having bouts of temper and losing friends left and right. Finally my Fundamentalist minister who doesn't usually believe in psych drugs begged me to go back on it. Be careful! Don't go off of something that might be helping you more than you know. If you do so, do so with caution and accept feed back about how you are acting from your friends and family. Re: Switch Antidepressents? Hope it is ok to jump in here with my sister's experience.... Cymbalta is a witch to wean from! My sis was on cymbalta and found out she was pregnant and she had a heck of a time getting off of it! That may be a factor in your decision, don't know! I was on Prozac for 9 years and weaned off with no problems....haven't had to take an anti-depressant since being on Armour thankfully.....hope this helps with your decision. p.s. you might try to go off Prozac by starting to take every other day. Prozac has a long life in the body. (like 10 days to 2 weeks, I think) If you start to feel your depression come back, then, maybe you are not ready to wean yet? Are you optimal on Armour yet? It might take being optimal before you can go off your Prozac.....As soon as I got to 2.5 grains of Armour, I was able to go off the prozac without any repercussions (sp?) Good luck! :0) Dana > > Hello Val, > I went to the doc. regular doc. yesterday, He wants me to change > from prozac to cymbalta, I WANT OFF OF ALL ANTIDEPESSENTS, I'm > thinking I may do this myself, any input on how to do this would be > great... > Thank You Val, > > G. >
