You have indicated a lack of faith in the 24-hour urine test Val and I am wondering if you would remind me what your thinking on this is? I had it done because Hertoghe uses it and thought that was good recommendation. thanks. My problem, apart from being influenced by Hertoghe, was the cost of the saliva was even higher than the urine and that was very expensive. I think the saliva thyroid is £100 here which is $194! My urine levels were SO high that, from what you say, it is possible that the high levels COULD POSSIBLY be because the hormones, or a proportion, passed straight through? Hmmm. I was in severe crisis for 7 days in a row, but all they saw fit to do was to test me for illegal street drugs. If I had not had a storage of corticosteroids at home that I self medicated with, I shudder to think where I would be. (Doubled my dose back up today and am doing much, much better) Oh, and insurance covered only a small fraction of all the ER charges, so there I am, left holding the bag once again. Val, isn't there a way we could go out and get them thar docs that might be a little bit messier?
