Guest guest
That's a great success!! Thanks for sharing....your story sounds similar to mine. I've been thinking about trying WW again this week and I'm also an evening nibbler. I'll think of you this evening when I want to start nibbling. must_be_genuine wrote: I just had to share my success of last night. Evenings are my absolute worst time. It's when I decompress from the day. I've been noticing lately that I eat (graze) all evening from just prior to dinner all the way until I'm ready for bed. I'm not hungry after dinner, just bored, I think. So, my new plan (which seemed to help last night) was to enjoy my dinner with my children, then immediately do the dishes and clean the kitchen and finally, I grabbed the crossword out of the newspaper (I actually had it folded and ready and sitting on the arm of the couch from about 3 p.m. on so I wouldn't forget). I worked the crossword as I watched TV. It gave my hands and my brain something to do. There were a few times where I wanted to set it down and go eat even though I wasn't hungry. I knew that if I truly became physically hungry I could eat. I also helped myself to a nice cool glass of water while I worked. When it was time for bed, I began feeling different. I paused to identify the feeling and I was able to name the feeling as "empty"...but not "hungry". I think I've often (always) considered an empty stomach as a hungry one. Last night I realized that I wasn't hungry, just not full from dinner. I went ahead and went to bed and slept so well because I hadn't overeaten all evening long. One day down...now on to today. Thanks for all the inspiration. Two days ago I was ready to go give WW yet ANOTHER try, but the idea of dieting just made me want to cry. I read my emails and decided that I am committed to the IE approach.Have a wonderful Friday! Ask a question on any topic and get answers from real people. Go to Yahoo! Answers. Guest guest
Kudos to you :) Evenings are my bane as well and for probably like reasons. When I make my 'connection' I'll post it here too :) > > I just had to share my success of last night. Evenings are my absolute > worst time. It's when I decompress from the day.
