A saline sonohysterogram is ok and I hear it is not as uncomfortable as the hsg. If they will do an office hysteroscopy which is a diagnostic one, then I assume they will put you to sleep. Just make sure that they don't go on to do a surgery but instead to look inside only. With a hysteroscopy they usually take a video of the uterus too and with the sonohysterogram I think they give you photos. Am I right everyone?

I was told by a doctor that you can tell the severity of the ashermans (considering the cervix is not closed shut), by looking at the quantity of a period. I think the lighter they are, the more severe the case. Having any sort of period is proof of living endometrium inside. If you don't have a closed cervix to block the exit of the blood, and you don't have a period, then it either means that you have no living endometrium, or it is covered by scar tissue and by proper surgery to uncover the endometrium from the scars, it will allow the endometrium to grow (proliferate) again and get a proper period.
