Hi All,

We had an okay vacation in FL, some problems and not as fun as we

had hoped, but at least we had nice weather and I guess we just realize

that, with all we have going on, we are just better off here at home for

the time being. Also, our 6 year old Golden Retriever died while we

were away, had 2 seizures and died. We thought she was fine, according

to the vet. The poor neighbor girl who was taking care of her was so

upset, we really felt badly that it happened to her. Well, it's good to

be home again. 's surgery is scheduled for 2 weeks from tomorrow,

on May 11. I keep thinking we should ask if we can move it up to next

week, torn both ways, you never know what is the right decision.

I can't even begin to get through all the posts I missed, but did

manage to get a quick good luck off to Gwen. I know we are all waiting

to hear.

I just saw your post to me and I didn't access that

information but will try to keep looking.

, glad your surgery went well. Hope you get a period as

expected.

Janet, I am so sorry for the negative beta. I think we are all

shocked at the results and really thought it would succeed. But the

odds are still in your favor percentage-wise if you keep trying, so

let's hope the next time is the charm.

Debjojo, I just got a chance to glance at one or two of your posts

and wanted to let you that I too had placenta previa and it turned out

okay--of course, there must have been something about it that messed up

my lining because now I have lining problems, even in the absence

(supposedly) of scar tissue. Anyway, I only had 2 or 3 bleeds with it,

fairly small ones, and the first one was at 29 weeks. I was

hospitalized from that point on--very conservative high-risk doctor.

They wanted to deliver him early to reduce more bleeding risk, so they

checked on his lung development via amnio at 35 weeks, but he wasn't

quite " cooked " yet, but almost, so they did the c-section 3 days later.

He was 35-36 weeks, but did fine and weighed 6-7 despite coming early.

My placenta never moved, and they seemed to know that it wouldn't from

the time it was first discovered at 18 weeks. I did see where you

thanked Poly for a placenta previa site she sent you. I wonder if it is

the same support forum I was on. I think mine was called " Let's Talk

Previa " and it was very helpful. If that is not the one you got, I'll

try to send you the link if I can. It is a support group somewhat like

this one, lots of personal stories too.

Kim, I have heard of Dr. Joe Hill a lot, he has quite a respected

reputation in the infertility field, supposedly a great RE, but I would

still go to Issacson for a consult at least. Don't even mention it to

Hill until you see what Isaacson has to say. They are all so busy, they

rarely speak with each other or remember who we are half the time, even

the good ones. But don't compromise your best chance with your uterus

because of trying to tread lightly around Dr. Hill. I know how it is,

it is very very awkward sometimes, but in the end you have to do what

you feel is best for you. If it were them or their wife, they would do

the same thing. You just have to " look out for number one " sometimes.

I started on the injectable estrogen again while away, did the baby

aspirin, L-arginine, even the castor oil packs. I thought it was all

going to be the perfect combo, and would be writing the miracle cure to

all of you, or maybe even writing to say that my transfer got cancelled

because my lining got too thick! Well, I had my u/s this morning and am

back from la-la land. It's as crummy as ever, worse than mahy other

months in fact. Maybe a 6.5 at best, then she went back and got another

spot of 5.5, (hey, you're going in the wrong direction lady!), I was so

bummed out. But then I looked at the pictures again, both on the

machine and in my hands, and I think it was a crummy machine, tiny tiny

images of the endometrium, poor resolution, so now I am questioning the

accuracy of the whole thing. Might go to another place to recheck it on

Monday.

If it is still thin and non-receptive looking, and no triple line,

then I have no idea what to think. Of course, I'm sure " the scraper "

who did the D & C for no reason in Feb. did not help things, but it wasn't

that great before that either.

Lee Ann, what is new with you?

Okay, I know I have missed so many--oh, good luck with the adoption

. Please forgive the many oversights. But it's good to be back.

Terri
