Guest guest
Robin the bad thing about glandulars is they ALL have hormones that is how they work., And as they are OTC, we have no way to know how much and WHICH hormones are in them. Licorice is not a good choice for her as she is in stage 1 AF with high AM cortisol, she does not need that higher. I would treat thyroid at this point as I feel certain her hypo is causing her adrenal stress. She IS hypothyroid! This early on in AF it may be possible to reverse it with proper thyroid treatment. But let that thyroid continue and the AF will get worse. I would start her on unrefined sea salt and B vitamins as well as the C. She should also have a Ferritin test and a lipid panel. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV My Ebay Jewelry Store (Closing after Xmas!!!) http://stores.ebay.com/valeriescrystalcreations http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/

Guest guest
I realize that her TSH is outside the modern range for TSH but her T4 is actually mid range. Is this not conflicting? In any case, threating her thyroid, by this do you mean with armour? She's had her thyroid tested 3 times now and each time her TSH has dropped. A year ago it was 5 something. What do you make of that? Sea salt - so far this is hard to accomplish - she hates the stuff. We haven't yet found a good way to hide the taste. I do however use unrefined sea salt in all of my cooking - will this yield the same results as drinking a glass in the morning? Ferrritin testing - like the docs know this from a hole in the ground. I argued with a doc on this point and insisted he test her ferritin. In the end he did her trans ferritin , insisting this was the same...where do these guys study medicine...disney land!!!!! The end result being that my daughter is really afraid of more needles. But doesn't her haemoglobin tell something about her iron levels? Lipid panel...uh??? We already give her lots of C (about 1500 per day) plus a multi vit/mineral for kids. > > Robin the bad thing about glandulars is they ALL have hormones that is > how they work., And as they are OTC, we have no way to know how much and > WHICH hormones are in them.
