It could be from hypopituitary or ti could be low just because you were on

Isocort. It takes at least 2 weeks off adrenal meds for the HPA axis ot resume

normal funciton.

Okay, but I am currently stress dosing at 40 mgs, so I think I want to

wait at least until I go down to 30...but how long before the 40 I've

been taking wears off in the body/blood, anybody know?

It takes abotu 2 weeks for the pituitary to get the message to make more Acth

and then the adrenals more cortisol.
