Guest guest
Hi. I went to the rheumy today, did not get the shots. They want the pain clinic to do it, due to where the shots will be. The rheumy dept sticks to shots in the shoulder, and stuff like the wrist, elbow areas. They gave me some test results. I guess I should go to 's site and see what all this means. I think I zoned out or something today. They said my smooth muscle antibody is elevated, my BETA-2-Glycoprotein 1 IGG/IGM is positive and abnormal, my anti-cardiolipin IGM is postive high, and they told me to take aspirin or they may put me on something, talked about plaqeunil and pred. My anti dna is a bit elevated also, and they talked to me about anitiphospholid syndrome. yeah, ok. They said initially they looked at possible autoimmune hepatitis, but ruled that out due to other test being ok. I know they talked about some antibodies that worried them, and I think it was the anti -cardiolipinIGM. I said waiting for the eye test, and then the plaquenil will be a go. The rheumy wrote down some things on a list and told me to call immediately if I get any of the symptoms she listed. They told me not to mess with primary MD, and to tell the receptionist I was told to call and to ask for a rheumy or the nurse and to quit getting all these symptoms and ignoring them or waiting for them to go away. They finally got that with having a resident for my primary, that he is hardly ever there, so to call the rheumatology dept instead. They talked to me about blood clotting disorder, etc..... I think I kind of clicked off somewhere when they were talking to me. I remember them talking about short term prednisone therapy for when I get these flares. Anyone else have these tests off, and any thoughts on any of this? Thanks and love, Normi in the twilight zone
