I woke up again in the middle of the night. No palps but just waking up and

not being able to go back to sleep. I tried 5 mg HC and fell asleep quickly

so I guess it is low cortisol at night, keeping me up.

-- Re: Night Doses & HC

Thanks, I will pick up the cream today. Fortunately, a Walgreens opened up

just 1 block away so I can walk there; very handy as I don't have a car any

more.

BTW, I tried the night dosing of 2.5 Isocort and .25 Armour; it was a

disaster - hardly slept and tossed and turned all night. Will not repeat

that experiment as I need what little sleep I get; last night was truly

awful.

I tried a 2.5 Isocort at bedtime and it keep me up most of the night. I am now

on Cortef 10mgs in the morning and 5mgs at noon and dinner. Last night I

started at a higher dose of Armour added 15mgs. I read this about taking it at

bed time and do so. Wow I slep like a baby until 7am most of the time I wake at

5am. When I got up I had no fatigue at all and felt great. I was ready for

more Armour now doing 1 grain in the morning and at noon and .5 grains at

dinner. Adding the 15mgs at bedtime was great I hope this keep up.

Dr. Jefferies says to take 5mgs at bedtime of HC but if you don't have a problem

sleeping I would think your better off using it when your up.

This is the 3rd. night I took 15mgs of armour and last night I never woke up

to go to the bath room so at 7am I had make the trip dam fast. :-(

Hi Phil,

That gives me courage to try the 15 armour at night. The most recent

times I've tried h.c. at bed have been disasters--there I was, all nice

and toasty, ready for sleep, then boom, the h.c. kicked in and I was up

for hours.

Maybe tomorrow night I will try the armour--already took my doses today..

Yes I had DHEAS checked and I went to high so I am now taking 25mgs once a day.

Was doing 2 a day. When I switche to HC from Isocort my DHEAS and Testosterone

levels went way up. I am on testosterone shots been on them 23 yrs for low

testosterone. I find it good dam good news that my levels went up now I can

lower the dose. In the past the stress my body was in caused me to use up the

testosterone meds real fast so I was on a dam high dose. Most me do 100mgs a

week I had to do 150mgs.

Infact, I may try it next week. Or for my next add in in two week,

try adding a little at bedtime. I'm so happy to hear you're doing

better. Gives us the rest hope. Are you taking DHEAS? I was asking

about that earlier, did you get your levels checked?

Thanks, Kimmie

Interesting............. just made me realise that my problem of night-time

weeing stopped, concidentally?, around the same time I started to take one

grain Armour at bedtime.

Anyone else have this experience?

Well last night was a bit of a strange night I woke up at 1am had to go to the

bath room. I knew this was going to happen because I could not go before I went

to bed just one of them days. Strange thing about it was as my head hit the

pillow I was out dead a sleep. This never happens I am sold on taking Armour at

bed time.
