Guest guest
>>Can HC cause excess sweating as a side effect? Or, could it mean that the thyroid is built up again and 27.5 is not enough yet? I know I am asking you to make a judgment on this without average temps....and again, sorry about that! But, I really would like to know if anyone has experienced this hotness on HC??? << I did not ever get the sweating once i got on 30MG of HC and it has not returned! I DO think it i a low cortisol sympotm and possibly you ned to at least stress dose extra HC when oyu do an Armour increase if not all the time. I have taken as much as 80MG HC in a day to offset an illness and it dod not cause sweating. but I sure know what oyu are talkign abotu as it wa amajor symptoms for me for about 15 years before HC..I could nto tolerate any room temp above 65 degrees! -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV My Ebay Jewelry Store (Closing after Xmas!!!) http://stores.ebay.com/valeriescrystalcreations http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/

Guest guest
Thanks Val! That is what has me stumped! My temps. are not even above 97.8 yet and this facial sweating has got me wayyyyyy down again! It is so darn embarressing to be constantly wiping sweat off your face at work and in front of customers! When I was on 30 mg. for about a week though, the sweating did not get better....do you think it will take some time? And, do you think the sweating is from the thyroid building up or the Adrenals themselves? Thanks again for your own experience....no one knows how terrible it is to always feel HOT, except fellow sweaters themselves! he he Dana > > >>Can HC cause excess sweating as a > side effect? Guest guest
Dana how fast did you add Armour going from 1 grain to 2.15 grains. Sounds like you went up to fast and with to much. I would go up only 15mgs at a time and each time my temps would go up then in about 2 weeks they would start to fall this is when I would add 15mgs. more. Phil danamarie39 wrote: Hi everyone! Well, since I have raised to 2.15 gr. of Armour, the sweating has returned! (was on only 1gr. for 5-6 weeks of hc raising, then went severly hypo and am still hypo) I was on 30mg. of HC for a short time but, have since dropped it down to 27.5 again as I think I feel better at that dosage. (had more sweating too at 30mg.) My temps. are still below 98.0 and I am still struggling to keep tabs on my temps. bc of my hectic job! So, I cannot say with any certainty that I am stable on HC ! Guest guest
I think it is the adrenals fighting to try to bring the temps to normal when your thyroid is just not high enough. Guest guest
Greg, I had to raise the first time bc I was severly hypo. Val suggested I do a 30mg. quick raise and then from there I have only added 15mg. at a time and waited with each raise......I am still hypo but, at least am not having the horrible jaw pain I was experiencing before.....I am a pro with raising Armour as I was on Armour for 11 months before starting HC. Thank you though for wondering if I raised too quickly! Dana > Hi everyone! > > Hope you had a nice holiday! Guest guest
That would make sense. Yesterday I had to have a uterine biopsy and stress dosed and today am freezing! So, maybe I DO need to raise to 30mg. for a while and see how I do.....cannot believe how a short procedure (but, very painful! yikes) could have me so tired and cold today! Geesh! I seem to backslide often and it is so frustrating to always try to figure out why....next step is a uterine ultra-sound next week and then from there possible Laproscopy......since I am hiding the HC from docs, not sure how to handle HC during the Lap. Can I just stress dose ALOT right before the procedure? I do not want to go down the road of having to tell them that I am on HC. And, I do not want to have to wean off right now since I need to get well first! Ok, done with my ranting! Guest guest
Dana I would pull your anesthesiologist aside and tell him you have adrenal insufficiency. Laparoscopies can become hysterectomies... I know that is how mine happened. It is simple and routine if they even suspect weak adrenal function to put solumedrol in your anesthesia IV. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV My Ebay Jewelry Store (Closing after Xmas!!!) http://stores.ebay.com/valeriescrystalcreations http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/

Guest guest
Val, Do you think that he might cause a problem though, if I tell him that? I am self-treating and am scared that they will freak out! I have thought of 'fibbing " and telling him that my Doctor who diagnosed me, retired or something,,,,just in case? Or, maybe I could say I was diagnosed by a Naturalpathic doc, instead? I want to avoid any problems.....but, also want to be safe too! How do Lap's become hysterectomies? If they find Endo. that is real bad or something???? Would love to hear your story if you don't mind sharing....I am a little nervous about this whole thing but, am also relieved that they are taking this so serious right now. I am sick of the pain and heavy bleeding! With my constant IC pain and the monthly being so terrible, it gets to be too much sometimes! I have to say that a hysterectomy might be a relief.....I know....major surgery but, I am so sick of it! I am also thinking that my female troubles also might be causing my IC. If I have bad Endo. then maybe that is causing some of my nerve pain?? We'll see, I guess. Thanks again Val, Dana > > Dana I would pull your anesthesiologist aside and tell him you have > adrenal insufficiency. Laparoscopies can become hysterectomies... I know > that is how mine happened. Guest guest
When I was 27 I had already had a life if miserable periods that put me in bed totally for at ;east 3 days out of the month. when I went a whole month. Sometimes I bled for 2 weeks straight stopped for 7-8 days and started agian. They put me on BC pills which I blew up liek I was PG. I felt worse on them so soon stopped them. I was in the ER several times for abdominal pain.. they called it painful ovulation. Yeah right. I had been having really bad periods when I went to the OB GYN and he was all set to put me in the hospital for a lap when he asked if I had insurance. NO so he told me to go home and take ASPIRIN and call him if I got worse! Next day I went out and paid for three months of BC/BS insurance. Went to annother GYN who took me right away as an emergency. In three days I was in the hospital for a laparoscopy. As I was only 27 years old he was sure it was just cysts and I told him PLEASE let me sign the permission for a hyst so you don;t have to wake me up to do it. I knew it was worse than just cysts. I had Pelvic Inflammatoy Disease from my Endometriosis being let go so long. He said he couldn't tell what was uterus and what was overies and tubes it was one huge mass of infection. He really apologized to me after the surgery saying he didn';'t believe I could be thta bad off and still walking around let alone working. Just say you're on HC for adrenal insufficiency. Be blunt, definitive & to the point. If he asks who rx'd it, say Dr. ! (I'm serious.) It won't go any further than that. If by some crazy chance they want Dr. 's number, just say you don't have it on you. I'm sure they won't even ask any questions. Or get defensive. Why do you need my drs number?! (I worked with at a non-profit in NY many years ago & one of the accounting people embezzled a ton of money. How? By being defensive. Every time someone questioned him on anything, he got defensive and angry. Soon everyone was afraid of him & he was robbing them blind! It's a good deflection technique. My husband uses it whenever he doesn't want to talk about something! LOL!) Warmly,
Guest guest
Val I know just what you went though my younger Daughter had this problem she would be in so much pain on her periods. My wife would tell her all women get cramps. One day she passed out on me from the pain I took her to the ER and had a hell of a time getting them to check her out. Bottom line she had Endometriosis so bad the Dr. gave her meds to stop her periods for a yr. She was 16 at the time today all is OK and she is lucky this worked.
