Guest guest
Can you post your temps it they are steady and not up at 98.6 you may be able to start back on Armour doing only 15mgs. See if your temp goes up this is what mine did it would go up then in 2 to 3 weeks go back down. This is when I would add 15mgs more. Are you charting you temps like this link on a his chart if not this helps. I fee this is the best tool to tell what are Adrenals and Thyriod are doing. http://www.drrind.com/tempgraph.asp#directions Phil delideger wrote: after several years of being on it, I had to go off of Armour, slowly weaning down to none over the period of 8 months or so.....just couldn't tolreate it any more like I used to. Guest guest
I've been off Armour for about 3 months now and taking HC. I've been up to 20mg for the past 3 weeks and my temps have averaged 98.6 with no fluctuations. I track them everyday and have been very diligent about it. Even taking my temp. in public...LOL! It dropped as soon as I got my period. Since your not a woman, I don't think you would understand this as well. I don't think I need Armour. If my temps. go up again in two weeks to 98.6 average, then this is not a thyroid problem, right? philip georgian wrote: Can you post your temps it they are steady and not up at 98.6 you may be able to start back on Armour doing only 15mgs. Guest guest
Also, I wonder if your temps. would go up again in a couple of weeks without adding the 15mg. of Armour? Has this ever been the case? philip georgian wrote: Can you post your temps it they are steady and not up at 98.6 you may be able to start back on Armour doing only 15mgs. Guest guest
Have you done labs on your thyrid Free T3 and Free T4 this is only a tool but if your feeling ok and your labs are good no you would not need Thyroid meds. But then how did you get started on them in the first place. As for women's hormones I have been on hormone meds for the last 23 yrs. I don't make Testosterone. In order to under stand my problems I had to read a lot about Estronges. My Estradol goes way up converting from the Testosterone meds I take. So I have to take Arimidex to keep my Estreadiol down. So I am up on how women's hormones work. Phil wrote: I've been off Armour for about 3 months now and taking HC. Guest guest
Try it and see most of all hormone treatment is about trying it and playing with the dose. Keep a record on how your feeling and what your doing. See how it goes. Phil wrote: Phil - I'm assuming they are referring to the basal temps? I was wondering about daily averages and if they are a bit lower too from this ovulation cycle. Since my daily averages around this time are about 98.0, do you think I need to supplement with progesterone to get my temps. up a little higher? Let me know...thanks! philip georgian wrote: Here I have this link in my files. http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20070106102554AAE6myM Phil wrote: Yes, I am low in both T3 and T4. I had a saliva test for them about four months ago. TSH was off the chart (real bad in saliva) but only 5.25 for blood. Saliva showed Hashimotos too. I just thought that by being hypo my daily average temps would be overall LOW throughout the month but they are only low 2 weeks out of the month. Do you think this pattern could be progesterone/estrogen related (I'm only 38)? philip georgian wrote: Have you done labs on your thyrid Free T3 and Free T4 this is only a tool but if your feeling ok and your labs are good no you would not need Thyroid meds.
