Yes, I have worked with him, and found him very kind & knowledgeable.

I don't know what to say about treating thyroid with supplements,

unless you're talking about iodine. He is hopeful that by this time

next year I might be able to be off thyroid & adrenal support with the

proper supplements.

I think that would be nice, but I am not as confident as him. That

being said, he was on thyroid & is no longer due to iodine. So, we'll

see...

Personally, I think that he is a good addition to my team of

" consultants " (some of my team members are NTH & NTHA). He also looks

at himself as one of your consultants. Overall, I think a better use

of my money than spending it on drs!

BTW, I'm on Nature-throid & HC, in addition to supplements recommended

by Dr. .

Warmly,

I wanted to chime in here that my doctor used to be on thyroid

medication. She tested her iodine levels and went on Iodoral (as

well as treated for adrenal fatigue...but not with Cortef...she

supplemented with DHEA and I am not sure with what else).

She indicated to me that at the beginning of last year, she had to

go off Thyroid. The longer she was on the Iodoral, she had to keep

going down on her amount of Armour, until she was no longer on it.

She wants me to test iodine levels. I just wasn't sure about

spending the $$ and how accurate it was...but this is her experience

with it.

Thank you for the info on Dr . and to Dawn on the info

on iodine. Several folks have suggested I read about iodine so I

will, but color me dumb...how is it related to thyroid/adrenal

fatigue in a nutshell?

Thanks,

Well, the thyroid is the biggest " user " of iodine in the body. Next

come the breasts, followed by the ovaries (I think they're 3rd).

With iodine deficiency, you can develop a goiter and/or hypothyroid.

Don't know for sure, but I think the breasts & ovaries probably work

the same way.

If you're iodine deficient, the thyroid takes whatever you have,

leaving the rest with nothing.

" Iodine " by Dr. Brownstein is a really good book & easy read. I

recommend it. Only $15.

Warmly,
