I find that when you get an adequate amount of cortisol your body

actully will need even more thyroid than before. Mine sure did! And I

bet if you think about it it has been creeping back in and you just

didn;t notice it before now. hypo symptoms can be do DAMNED insidious! I

never seem to notice them till they bite me! LOL

Yes, I think you are right! I noticed the jaw thing over a week ago

and now the swelling. Do you think the swelling is from hypo then and

not HC? How fast can I raise my Armour back up? Thanks again

Quick question, Val, and everyone!

I recently (4 days ago) returned to the old dosing schedule of h.c. you

(Val) recommended:

10, 7.5, 5, 2.5. I had tried to decrease but it was a disaster, so I

went back up. At about the same time, I increased my Iodoral to 50 mgs.

(have been building my dose since mid-nov). And I went up 1/4 grain of

Armour to 45, twice a day. I always take the h.c. and Iodoral about

1/2-1 hour before I take my Armour, as this does away with any

shakes/palps from the Armour.

So, here is my question: my temps dropped and steadied, more or less,

within the past 4 days at around 97.3/4. I am very, very tired some of

the day--so tired I need to sleep; other parts of the day my energy is

pretty good. Sometimes it's the a.m. when I'm tired, sometimes it's the

afternoon. Is this hypo, or my dosing schedule or the h.c. kicking in or

what? I'm going crazy with these symptoms!

Many thanks,

Dahlia

OK you changed WAY too many things at once. This is adrenals weak and screaming

at you. Iodine can have the same effect as adding more thyroid. NEVER increase

both at the same time. I would drop the Iodoral back and let your body adjust to

the rearranged HC schedule and additional thyroid for at least 2 weeks then try

the Iodoral increase.

Hi Val,

I'm so glad you can figure this out! Even though the temps are flat,

it's still adrenal? Okay, I will cut the Iodoral back, you think it's

stressing the adrenals? Until this latest increase, the Iodoral was

making me hyper, whereas now I just feel so-oooo flat. Most strange.

So, I will cut back Iodoral and let you know how it goes.

Thank you so much,

Dahlia
