levocarnitine (carnitore) for neuropathy

Today I saw a different Neurologist. He asked if I would like to try

levocarnitine (carnitore). I hope I have the spelling right as his

script is very hard to read. He said this is a natural product with no

side effects. I don't think I have run across it before. Reading what

I found sure looks to me like there is a probability for several

undesirable side effects complete with the usual bunch of cautions. I

had terrible long lasting side effects from Tegretol and Neurontine did

nothing for me. That makes me skittish about sugh drugs.

Can anyone help me out here? Thanks.
