Thank you Theresa!

Just reading a lot of these posts makes me feel that I have found

comfort in knowing there are a lot of others out there like myself.

Hi Crystal,

Welcome to the list :-) I'm Deb, 46, married, have one son, , who is

28 and live in Colorado. I am so sorry you are feeling so bad and then to

top it off have an idiot for a doctor. I was told by my first

rheumatologist that there was nothing wrong with me and I need to see a

shrink. Well, that was 5 years ago and I was finally diagnosed in

February.

Is it possible for you to go to another doctor, perhaps a rheumatologist?

If after the blood work comes back and you still arent getting any answers

and can go to another doctor, I would demand copies of all bloodwork and

then see someone who is willing to listen to you. If he wont give you your

bloodwork, then go to the lab where it was done, they are required by law to

give it to you after you sign a request.

It should only take a few days for your blood work to come back and then he

should be able to tell right away what is going on, and if he knows how to

do a fibro exam there is no reason why he cant tell you within a visit or 2

what is wrong.

I wish I could do something to help you feel better, but please know that I

am here if you need to talk, ok??

Hugs,

Deb in CO.

Welcome you have come to the right place what I do is put my food on smaller plates and if I am still hungry after I wait twenty minutes then I eat something else. It solves the problem of leaving food on the plate because I have a problem with that too. EvaSee what's new at AOL.com and Make AOL Your Homepage.

I am new to IE (and this group) and have been trying to follow the

basic guidelines as I learn them. However, I must admit that it is

much harder than I thought it would be. After dieting for most of my

life the concept of not dieting sounded soooooooooo good. Almost like a

heavy burden being lifted. Now I realize that I never really knew

what it was like to be hungry. I am having problems knowing when to

stop eating and exactly what I want to eat……and I can not leave food on

my plate no matter how hard I try. (I have faithfully been a member of

the clean-plate club for many, many, many years :). So if any one has

any good tips that could help me I would be much appreciative.

Welcome! You have come to the right place. You will get lots of support and ideas on how to get a handle on the IE principles. I would start with one thing at a time to work on - maybe leaving one bite of food on your plate, or work on just recognizing when you think you are getting hungry. I know that if I think of trying to get a handle on every aspect, it is extremely overwhelming. Just pick one thing at a time and eventually things will start to fall into place.

, about the best thing I can say to you is 'stick around'. What

you are saying and going thru is like SO NORMAL and familiar to us

here. If you do, I bet it won't be long until you start noticing

little positive changes. At first these may seem insignificant and way

out numbered by what you want to change NOW! Yet let the tide turn at

its own pace and it won't be long until you are going with the flow

like a pro 'surfer' on a giant wave :) Feel the rush!

Looking forward to reading more of your posts - Best to you - Katcha
