Guest guest
Hi Alice, welcome aboard! 6.6 lbs is really good--you're an inspiration to the rest of us!! I lose slowly, but I am infinitely patient. It went on s-l-o-w and it's coming off s-l-o-w!!! Oh, well. We have great recipes here, I am really going to try the baked apples, I love apple pie--and I bet this is just as good! Congrats on the loss, and keep in touch. Dot [Years and years ago I was in NY around Christmas and I just loved it!] Newbie Hello allGuess its time I introduced myself- (Just joined this group 2 days ago). Guest guest
Hi Alice, Welcome!! I'm from Colorado. Joined WW March 10, 2001. I have lost 40 pounds and have 17-20 to go to be at the high end of my weight watcher goal. I think I see the light at the end of the tunnel!! I had cervical cancer a year ago and with all the hormone therepy put on alot of weight!! After joining WW I started walking--at first just around the block. Now I am up to 4 miles a day. I feel better than I have in a long time. I think this program is the best and makes the most sense. I have a friend doing the Optifast shakes and she keeps going up and down. I am trying to bring her over to WW, but everyone has to do it for themselves. Keep up you weight loss. Newbie Hello all Guess its time I introduced myself- (Just joined this group 2 days ago). Guest guest
Welcome Kathy! Yes, I am extremely lucky to live where I do and I also have a good job in this area. You have come to a wonderful group for encouragement and support as we lose weight. I get a lot from this group that I don't get at my weekly meetings. BTW, in case you guys are wondering why I haven't posted a weight report, it's because I haven't been to a meeting in 3 weeks (holidays and other commitiments). I'm returning " to the flock " tonight. Keep you fingers crossed that the gain won't be too bad! I haven't been exactly OP, you see! Hopefully, I'll have good news to report tomorrow! Congrats to all you losers out there! in NC daficher@... on 09/10/2001 02:49:23 PM Please respond to wwliterside To: wwliterside cc: (bcc: -C /BRE/AGFA/US/BAYER) Subject: newbie , You are so lucky to live in a beautiful area of our country. I have been in this group a few days reading the emails. It is time to introduce myself. My name is Kathy and I live in Dallas, Texas. I am a computer operator working 12 hr shifts..7 PM until 7 AM. So many of my post will come in the middle of the night. Any of you that live in smaller cities or the country are so lucky. When I lived in the mid west and Florida I had to drive through the country to get to work and didn't really enjoy it now that I live in the city I have only been to the country once in the last year and a half. It is about 50 miles from my home to Fort Worth but it is city all the way. It may sound like I am depressed but I really am not I love the city..many things to take part in if you choose to. I weighed in last Saturday and lost 1.2. That was a good loss for me as I loose so slowly. Must get somemore sleep before I meet my little friend after school. He is 7 years old and I think he thinks I am about his age as he wants me to play with him all the time or go places with me. He has 3 brothers and they are always competeing for attention.
