Guest guest
I have been running a non-commercial website - You Are Not Alone Now www.yananow.net for a number of years now. The first section is aimed at newly diagnosed men and their supporters. It gives some basic information in plain language with links to more complex and technical sites and is accessed by using the link www.yananow.net and hitting the Don’t Panic button. The second section of the site of the site was set up in the belief that there is tremendous value in reading of other people's experiences with prostate cancer and also recognition that it might be helpful men diagnosed with PCa (and their families or partners) find someone to 'talk' to; someone who had dealt with the same issues and problems. There are now more than 650 stories covering all currently available treatment options on the site, providing an insight into how the contributors have dealt with the issues that others now face. They can be accessed by choice of treatment, year of diagnosis, age, PSA or Gleason Score at diagnosis and by country in which the contributor resides. The stories and charts provided are for information only, and show a brief summary of what others have done, based on information received from the contributors. They may not be completely accurate and should not be used for making individual treatment decision. Most of the men who have told their stories have volunteered to act as Mentors and have provided their e-mail addresses. They invite you to mail them for any further information you might want. They may not always be able to help you directly, but may well know where to direct you. Contributors are encouraged to update their stories at least once a year. The current week’s list of new contributors and updates is below.
