Pants are hell aren't they? Don't even get me started on jeans!

Good for you!

Where did you get these pants? I recently got rid of the stuff I

can't fit into. Now I realize I need some stuff!

Congrats again!

Hey ladies,

Have you been to Lane lately? They have a new way of sizing for jeans. They measure you with a special tape measure around your waist, ask you few questions about how pants usually fit you and you then they tell you if you are probably a blue, yellow or red and then they have sized from 1 up to 10(?) and you choose between flared cut or boot cut. I thought it was pretty cool since they are coming away from traditional sizing that makes us all go crazy in the head and depressed. I think you can find more on their website. I ended up being a Red Petite 4 (Normaly anywhere between an 18-20- my high at one time was 24). And I do think they are more flatering to my figure. It's pretty cool! I asked the sales person if they were going to be bringing this out into the rest of their pants and they said they are working on it.

Yippee for you Sigi!! I so know how you feel about clothes encounters!

Its bad enough that I think of my body as an 'it' at times, but when

dressing it in clothes makes me feel it ought to be someone ELSE's

'it' instead of mine, that is Hades of the worst level ;-) I am so

happy you found these perfect pants just for you!! And being smart

enough to buy 2 merits a could of GOLD STARS. Go-get-em gal :) ehugs -

Thanks!

Well, my local Red Spot Boutique (okay, Target) is thousands of miles

from you, unfortunately, so I don't know that my recommendation's

going to be of any use there! :-(

*Tell* me about the jeans thing! The only place here in Australia

that I've finally found jeans which fit me properly and are

flattering are stretch hipster flares from a chain called Jeans West

(and they do half sizes too). I have quite a collection in various

tones and sizes reflecting my fluctuations from (very briefly) being

a size 12 (your size 8, I think) to my current 16 (your 12). Oh

well. I try not to beat myself up about the size increase. They

still make me feel pretty good when I wear them.

Cheers

It seems like such a superficial thing sometimes, but being able to

dress yourself well in more flattering clothing that fit well and make

you feel good can make such a difference to your self-esteem and

confidence when you step out into the world.

That's really been my battle of late, finding stuff that makes me feel

good - so I get pretty excited when I have a little triumph!

Hugs

Sigi,

I LOVED your post --- I can just feel your delight at finding those

pants! I can so identify with this --- FINALLY finding something

that fits well and is comfortable, and buying more than one. So glad

it made you feel good about going to the gym! Thanks for such a fun

post!
