I am cross-posting this because I thought others here might find it useful.

I live under a rock and seldom watch TV, so some of these things I miss out

on. But this is an an advisory, and I'll come back after the cross-post to

say more.

I checked out the link - apparently the FDA has found that

phenylpropanolamine (PPA) can cause hemmoraging and has recalled a good

number of products with it. It said the danger was primarily to young

girls, but...may it affect others too? Without checking the links, I have a

feeling that it may only be something that affects women at all.

PPA has been primarily used as a mild amphetamine - in a cood number of cold

and flu products (perhaps you're using some of these right now?), and it has

also be used as a diet aid.

I just got this message and I've only leafed through the web page. I have

not had a chance to check other websites concerning this issue, suce as

WebMD or the FDA. CVS is pulling these products from their shelves, but I'm

not sure if anyone else is.

At any rate...if this has piqued your interest, you may wish to investigate

further. As for me...I am now informed. I will find what I have that uses

it, and if it's an issue I will investigate further.

Huggy Bear

I had a handle on reality...but it broke off.
