Greeting from ANP+.

We are glad to share with you all a great news that the Assam health

minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma passed the order to reduce the CD4

count price to Rs 50 from Rs 500. Assam is fist state of India,

which was ready to reduce this much.

CD$ count is free for orphan and bellow poverty line PLHIV. We are

really proud of our health minister taking this step forward on this

issue.

He released ART for children before he went to the Toronto AIDS

Conference. Again we thank Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma and his team for this

great effort to improve the situation of PLHIV in Assam.
