Okay, Debbie, LOL! I'll be okay, if YOU will! Geez, I wouldn't wish sinus

surgery on anyone, much less a follow up gift of sinus and ear infection.

Arg! Hang in there!

  • 2 weeks later...

Hi Kim I used the temp charting to get my adrenals level then added Arimour when

I got up to 2 grains a day my temps went higher. When they start to go down I

know I can raise my armour but I only go up 15mg at a time. When I started I

was able to go up every 2 weeks now I am at 2.5 grains and it took 4 weeks for

my Temps to go down I take this to mean I am hypo again. So today I just went

up 15mg not doing 2.75 grans this has worked dam good for me. I remember only

once feeling very hot all day doing this.

Kimmie oyu may need to increase your HC a bit faster. You need to stop

those nausea and racey feelings when taking oyur Armoru they are just

form low cortisol.

Val,

As you suggested, I just increased my Armour 15mg yesterday (at bedtime).

My previously stable temp avg today did a 7/10 degree drop ...

Is this indicative of a need to stress dose an extra 5mg tomorrow,

Wednesday, and Thursday mornings?

Is it wise to stress dose like this the first 3 days of EVERY Armour

increase?

Thanks, Liz

Kim if your not leveled on your adrenals going up on Armour can make you feel

like this. I did HC for 2 months before I started on Armour. My temps acg. was

up and down more then .2 tenths from day to day. I went dam slow at this. Even

Dr. Jefferies says in his book to do 5mgs 4 times a day of 10mgs in the morning

and 5 at noon and dinner. Your only doing 15 total I was doing what Val and

Jefferies says 20mgs a day.

Yes the .7 drop in temps would indicate it would be good to stress dose, but as

for every time, I would wait and see if your adrenals do not get stronger wiht

more thyroid increasses as they should.

Val,

Please correct me: I thought that if one added armour and there was a

change from stable temps to unstable temps, it meant you weren't ready to

add armour, and to back down in dose. Adding in an extra 5 h.c. in the

a.m. seems like a different way of handling it. Maybe would one try to

stress dose for a couple of days and if temps are still unstable, back

off?

This is really interesting, as I haven't tried a dose increase in weeks

due to the introduction of unstable temps when I try. I always back right

off. Maybe I'm being too cautious? lol
