I put adrenal insufficancy/daily HC user. I got an ugly braclet from

the drug store, after I see my doc again if he thinks I'm going to

have to take it a long time I'm going to get a nice one. LOL

didn't say anything and just played dumb..I knew if I said I didn't

have 's there could be a problem. They went ahead and hooked

me up and gave me a push of prednisolone.

med-alert bracelets when trauma victims are brought in? Do you guys

keep anything in your car to alert any emergency people incase of an

accident? I just want to make sure I have all bases covered. All I

have right now is the med-alert bracelet.

They are SUPPOSED to look for medical alert jewelry. In my case I could

well be in a diabetic coma and need glucose to save my life.

On mine I have:

ADRENAL INSUFFICIENCY

Stress dose with hydrocortisone

in event of emergency

I don't care if I don't OFFICIALLY have adrenal " insufficiency " ...if I

am bad off enough that I can't speak for myself, I'm SURE I will need HC!

I have adrenal insufficiency on my medic alert bracelet. I too have

not been 'officially' diagnosed by any dr. here where i live but a

doctor in toronto did diagnose me when i was there for a vacation and

saw him. I am intending to put his name on my medic alert card as

doctor #2. I still don't have a primary physician that i would want

listed on my card; they are all idiots here and don't listen to the

patient.

I am hoping that having a medic alert breacelt with adrenal

insufficiency on it will help if i am unable to speak for myself.

Depending on the situation, i intend to state that i have adrenal

isnufficiency, not 's but as i said, it will depend on the

situation at the time. MOst docs have never heard of adrenal

insuffiency. Sadly.
