Hi ,

I have some info. for you about how Lyme can affect the

Hypothalamus/Pituitary/Adrenal Axis.

Low Adrenal Function / Adrenal Insufficiency--

> Hypothalamus/pituitary/adrenal axis dysfunction is frequently

> associated with Lyme disease, and many Lyme patients have

> both thyroid and adrenal insufficiency.

---I really think that most of us should rule out Lyme Disease as a

contributing factor in our illness's. Igenix has a website with

information about testing for Lyme. Let me know if you have any

questions!

Thanks for all of the info, Dana! Much appreciated.

Actually, last night I started doing some research into " chronic

fatigue " and it's rather interesting.

First, let me say that in many cases, I think that the poor people who

suffer from chronic fatigue are victims of crappy doctors,

irrespective of WHAT is causing the CFS.

The info I was reading last night (sorry, no link...was just cruising

& saw stuff that was already in my " mental " database) took the

thyroid/adrenal connection into consideration, but also looked at

stealth infection (such as Lyme, mycoplasmic pneumonie, chlamydia

pneumonie, etc.) as a possible causation for the root problem.

As soon as I can find a dr with more than 5 brain cells, I would

definitely like to look into all of this further.
