Hi, my name is Dawn and I am 36 yrs old. I have been dealing with hip

pain for 3 months now. The pain has slowly been getting worse over

time. It started off as being a slight discomfort feeling if I slept

on my right side at night. Now it is to the point that if I lay on

either one of my sides, my right hip hurts bad and it spreads to my

leg. Today I also have pain along my 'bikini' line area. It hurts to

sit, walk, lay down, you name it.

Anyways, I went to the doctor yesterday. I told my primary doctor

about the pain in my hip and she had me lay down and while she pressed

on my hip she moved my leg. It hurt a little. So she told me that I

have inflammation of my ligaments in my hip.

I was prescribed Ibprofen, 800 mg...take 3 times a day. That is 2400

mg a day and to be honest, it only takes the pain away for a few

hours. My doctor suggested that I take the 2400 mg a day for a week

and if the pain is still there then she will send me to Physical

Therapy. Ugh!

I don't know what to do at this point. I don't know if this is

arthritis. I don't even think that Physical Therapy will be the

greastest solution, after all...it hurts to walk/move. I haven't tried

cold packs on my hip or heating pads, don't know if they would do any

good. If anyone has any suggestions, I am open to them. I don't want

to live with the pain, I want it to go away. My son just turned 2 a

few weeks ago and I want to be able to sit on the floor with him and

play :(

Thank you, Dawn
