Guest guest
I am really relieved that my first day on Cortef went so well! I started on my ususal Iso. in AM but, my next dose was at 11 with Cortef. I noticed a BIG difference almost immediately! My temp. started out at 97.9 in AM and after my HC dose, it went up to 98.3 I was a little worried that I would have a dump(lol, thyroid that is!) the first day but, it only lasted a short while.....didn't feel hot the rest of the day...so I am thinking maybe it won't happen to me. (I can hope, right?) My energy stayed more level thru the day and that is such a welcome relief! This morning I actually woke up before the alarm clock, which never happens...oh, since starting on AS, I have been able to discontinue my Ambien at night! I only take .5 of Flexeril to sleep at night and that is HUGE. (for FM and sleep disorder) Just have a couple of remaining questions: 1.) I noticed that I am peeing more thru-out the day. Does the HC support cause water loss?? And, why? 2.) Is it still alright to start raising my Armour by 1/4 gr. every week, now that I am on Cortef, or should I wait a little while yet?? 3.) I have been having to take a dose in the evening to get rid of heart palps....what does that usually mean?? Does it indicate my evening Cortisol is lower then most? (or higher?) Thanks everyone for your patience and hand-holding!! I now have some hope that I will get better and wish I would not have been so afraid to start Adrenal Support... I pray I will only need 20-25mg to heal my Adrenals....Since my first few weeks have been hell, maybe I can one day help those who also go thru that! lol p.s. My sweet mother set up an actual body " massage " (45min.) to thank me for helping her move! I go today at noon....hope I have a woman! Wouldn't want a man to see my not-so-skinny naked bod!!lol Dana
