Guest guest
I'm training for a marathon, and I can tell you that it is an awesome experience. I was the chubby girl in high school who brought in a note to excuse me from running the mandatory 1-mile every year, and I have amazed myself by running my first 20-mile distance last week. The training alone has given me so much self-confidence in the ability to take on other challenges that I had thought I could not overcome. You don't have to train for a marathon to experience this inner reward - any activity that you do and about which you feel good has the potential to uplift you and carry over into other parts of your life. > > I've been so inspired this past week reading > some of you talking about running. Guest guest
Awesome, Marguerite! Congrats on the 20 miles and I love that last bit of your post. It's so true, it doesn't even have to be anything physical. Take a chance! > > > You don't have to train for a marathon to experience this inner > reward - any activity that you do and about which you feel good has > the potential to uplift you and carry over into other parts of your > life. > >

Guest guest
I'm with you, IV. I live in Colorado, the state with the most 14ers and I have yet to ever do one. Maybe you can come to CO and we can do one together! --Alana -------------- Original message -------------- I'm not into runnign and have no desire to run - but I have a dream I'd like to share :)I hope next year to be healthy enough to climb a 'fourteener'. http://www.14ers.com/:) >> I've been so inspired this past week reading> some of you talking about running. Guest guest
I'm in CO, but I haven't been to the mountains for a couple of years! In regards to the running, I HATE running too, in my triathlon I did last summer, I walked and jogged slowly for that portion. I LOVE to swim and bike, though. > > > > I've been so inspired this past week reading > > some of you talking about running.
