It is my opinion -- and it is only an opinion -- that if she can't take

the BP medicine till she gets her bloodwork, she probably shouldn't

avail herself of any natural remedies, either. I hesitate to give any

advice beyond this although starting an exercise program (under a doc's

supervision, of course) might help her BP. But if, indeed, the elevated

BP is a result of an allergic reaction, it would seem to me that a full

allergy work up is in order and that dealing with the BP may be treating

the symptom rather than the problem.

When she mentions the bite incident to the doctors they all ignore her as if

she has no sense. She, too, thinks they are treating the symptoms and not

the problem but the doctors all say there isn't a problem. I will enquire

if she has had an allergy work up.

For sure I would recommend shetake Vitamin C. I believe she should take

between 2-4 grams of it per day in divided doses. , this will help

immensely. This is the minimum amount she should be taking. If she has

allergies, this will not cause a problem at all. In fact if she is dtaking

any kinds of medications the Vitamin C in large doses will only do her some

good. If she is really interested in treating an illness, she can take the

Vitamin C to bowel tolerance, and you may need some advice on how to do

this, since taking Vitamin C to bowel tolerance is quite different from

taking a daily therapeutic dose of Vitamin C for normal functioning.

Vitamin C to bowel tolerance can specificly treat a nasty spider bite. It

can also treat and cure such problems as viral infections and bacterial

infections, and it even makes the treatment with antibiotics more effective.

I always keep on hand at all times a jar of 500 Vitamin c capsules to treat

and cure such things as a spider bite, a viral infection or a bacterial

infection. Vitamin C therapy to bowel tolerance is cheap and easy to do.

All one needs is an ample supply of Vitamin C capsules, usually in the 1000

mg pill, which is a 1 gram dose taken singly. The first time I took Vitamin

C to bowel tollerence it took 75 capsules over a three day period before I

reached bowel tolerance. The second time I did it took one and a half days

and 35 capsules of Vitamin C to reach the goal. Maintaining near bowel

tolerance for a few days like 4-7 days will usually cure most anything which

ails you. The strange thing about achieveing bowel tolerence is that it

does not cause much discomfort, if any , at all, and in fact I even felt

better while doing so. If you are a diabetic, you can forget about getting

accurate blood sugar readings while undergoing this treatment. So you will

have to choose between getting good readings or curing your disease or

ridding your system of a poison. I prefer getting rid of the bug. My jar

of Vitamin C cost me around $20, which is really cheap, when one considers

how many problems it can solve.

To reach bowel tolerance with Vitamin C take two capsules of 1000mg Vitamin

C per hour until lose bowels is achieved. When this is achieved back off on

the dose of Vitamin C to 1 capsule per hour and maintain until you can back

off to 1 capsule per every two or three hours for several days. The amount

of Vitamin C needed to achieve bowel tolerance varies from individual to

individual and depends also on the severity of the infection or toxin in the

system. The more severe the bug is, the more vitamin C is required.

Caution: Never take more than a 5 gram dose of Vitamin C in a single dose,

since this will usually cause some mild diarrhea in most people.

The most prevalent problem with Vitamin C and most people is that they do

not take enough of it.

My neighbor was told that because she didn't go to the ER there was no way

at this time that they can tell what she was bitten by. This happened on

the 4th of July and she said that she had a reaction that went down her left

leg and it began in her spine. The doctors attributed the cause to shingles

and would look no further. They didn't do any kind of allergy testing, just

said too much time had gone by. I suggested she see a diagnostician as no

one is willing to investigate. As for being diabetic, she hasn't had any

kind of work up in years for diabetes. This is as much as I know.

Shingles is the result of a viral infection. Take Vitamin C to bowel

tolerance and maintain it for a few days, and she will probably be cured.

Never worry about overdosing on Vitamin C, because it is improbable one can

ever do it. In the entire recorded history of Vitamin C use, there has

never been a fatality due to a Vitamin C overdose. Not one death due to

Vitamin C in over a century! I think this speaks volumes as to the safety

record of Vitamin C use. I don't think you can say the same thing about the

use of aspirin for the past month.

You are correct in that excess vitamin C is eliminated via the urine.

That is why one must take it so often and in such great quantities.

However, I remain unconvinced that something which, taken in large

doses, makes you crap up a storm, is necessarily good for you.

Yes, I think Linus ing, despite his Nobel Prize, was nuts!

Maybe she was using the wrong form of Vitamin C for her. Vitamin C is

acidic, and it must be taken in the right form to keep from causing upset

stomach. One thing for sure, your sister cannot kill herself with Vitamin

C. The Vitamin C I use contains 1000 mg of C and 100 mg of biotin in each

capsule, and it never causes me any problems.

Just because it makes one person " upset " does not mean it makes every body

upset. The same holds true for all substances ingested in the body. I know

lots of folks who get upset with a single aspirin, but a single aspirin

rarely causes others to get upset.

It is amazing how a negative perception held by a person can prevent them

from even trying it. It is also amazing how such perceptions spread by

others, who haven't tried it, results in ignorance for others.

Too much C and I get kanker sores.

As to Monsieur Pasteur, he was eccentric, to say the least, as was

So why, Harry would yo want to take massive doses of Vitamin C when the body

Your response sounds like the typical response from the medical

establishment to discourage others. If you are interested in seeing the

research, I can furnish you a link or two. By the way most of this research

was done by medical doctors. You are right about one thing for sure. That

portion of Vitamin C which is not needed by the body is definitely excreted.

So the question remains, how much vitamin C does a sick body need? The

answer is as much as it takes.

Really, Harry

Shingles is caused by the virus related to the chicken pox virus. In all my

years in medicine, I have never heard of Vit. C curing chicken pox or

shingles. Don't yo think if it was that easy doctors would be giving it

people with shingles; particularly in older people who really suffer from

the shingles? Shingles can be fatal if bad enough in elderly people. I had

shinges once and it was miserable.

Re: Question regarding natural remedy for HBP

Shingles is the result of a viral infection. Take Vitamin C to bowel

tolerance and maintain it for a few days, and she will probably be cured.

Never worry about overdosing on Vitamin C, because it is improbable one can

ever do it. In the entire recorded history of Vitamin C use, there has

never been a fatality due to a Vitamin C overdose. Not one death due to

Vitamin C in over a century! I think this speaks volumes as to the safety

record of Vitamin C use. I don't think you can say the same thing about the

use of aspirin for the past month.

Yes, some doctorrs do give it. It is mostly the doctors instructed by the

AMA and drug representatives that do not use it at all. Medical doctors as

a general rule will not prescribe any thing unless it is sanctioned as

ethical medical practice by the AMA and their respective state's licensing

board. The last time I looked I have never seen a recommendation for any

vitamins in any quantities bby any medical association, federal or state

government. In fact you and any doctor would bve hard pressed to find any

research in any medical journal that reports any good research results using

vitamins and minerals or nutritional therapy. There is plenty of good sound

research to support vitamin therapies, but you will never see them in a

medical journal. Do you wonder why? I do. It is a known fact that

prescribing any thing other than drugs, surgery, radiation physical therapy

and a few other toxic things are not profitable. In other words there is no

money in it, that is prescribing vitamins. I urge you to seek out the

research and read it.

I know chicken pox and shingles is caused by a virus, and I also know there

is a cure for it, but it is really cheap, I mean really cheap. In a word no

money in it.

A cursory look at what causes canker sores in the federal government web

site reveals the following:

Fever blisters are caused by a contagious virus called herpes simplex. Them

are two types of herpes simplex virus. Type 1 usually causes oral herpes, or

fever blisters. Type 2 usually causes genital herpes. Although both type 1

and type 2 viruses can infect oral tissues, more than 95 percent of

recurrent

fever blister outbreaks are caused by the type 1 virus.

Herpes simplex virus is highly contagious when fever blisters are present,

and the virus frequently is spread by kissing. Children often become

infected

by contact with parents, siblings or other close relatives who have fever

blisters.

A child can spread the virus by rubbing his or her cold sore and then

touching other children. About 10 percent of oral herpes infections in

adults result

from oral-genital sex with a person who has active genital herpes (type 2).

These infections, however, usually do not result in repeat bouts of fever

blisters.

Most people infected with the type 1 herpes simplex virus became infected

before they were 10 years old. The virus usually invades the moist membrane

cells

of the lips, throat or mouth. In most people, the initial infection causes

no symptoms. About 15 percent of patients, however, develop many

fluid-filled

blisters inside and outside the mouth 3 to 5 days after they are infected

with the virus. These may be accompanied by fever, swollen neck glands and

general

aches. The blisters tend to merge and then collapse. Often a yellowish crust

forms over the sores, which usually heal without scarring within 2 weeks.

The herpes virus, however, stays in the body. Once a person is infected with

oral herpes, the virus remains in a nerve located near the cheekbone. It may

stay permanently inactive in this site, or it may occasionally travel down

the nerve to the skin surface, causing a recurrence of fever blisters.

Recurring

blisters usually erupt at the outside edge of the lip or the edge of the

nostril, but can also occur on the chin, cheeks, or inside the mouth.

The symptoms of recurrent fever blister attacks usually are less severe than

those experienced by some people after an initial infection. Recurrences

appear

to be less frequent after age 35. Many people who have recurring fever

blisters feel itching, tingling or burning in the lip 1 to 3 days before the

blister

appears.

What causes a recurrence of fever blisters?

Several factors weaken the body's defenses and trigger an outbreak of

herpes. These include emotional stress, fever, illness, injury and exposure

to sunlight.

Many women have recurrences only during menstruation. One study indicates

that susceptibility to herpes recurrences is inherited. Research is under

way

to discover exactly how the triggering factors interact with the immune

system and the virus to prompt a recurrence of fever blisters.

Mike, You might had better notify the federal health department that vitamin

C also causes canker sores, too, so they can add it to their list of causes.

You will also need to know that the government presently says there is no

known cure.

I know differently. Of course if you do not believe it will work, what is

the use in trying?

I know Vitamin C therapy cures viral and bacterial infections. It does not

cure fungal infections. If you cure a viral infection, does this mean you

will never have it again? Of course not. If you get reinfected you are

infected again, and it requires treatment once again.

I would recommend to you to take vitamin C therapy to bowel tolerance for at

least 5-7 days along with some zinc lozenges daily. I dare you to properly

treat yourself. If you try it, it might work. If you do not try it, it

definitely will not work. Let us know how it goes. Some people like to

hang on to their illness, because it brings them some rewards.

I definitely do not have any canker sores. I also do not believe that

vitamin C causes your canker sores. Most creatures like to live, and when

they are threatened they multiply. Small doses of vitamin C can probably

threaten them. I highly recommend you not threaten them, but get rid of

them for now at least. Just think, you might be cured in a week.

Agreed. But like you, I know what my experience is. And that is that when I

take too much C, I get them. Go figure.

Oh, I see. So there's tons of money to be made prescribing aspirin as a

heart attack preventative? C'mon, Harry, the charge that the medical

profession only recommends that which brings in lucre is getting rather old

and tired.
