No I waited 4 hrs. I did not have to lay down or anything like that I was just

all in. And to think last yr. I was walking 45 min.'s a day and going to the

gym and using the exercise machines 15 different ones 3 days a week. I got sick

with Bronchitis last winter hell I get it every winter but last winter was dam

bad I could not get over it and up until I started treating my Adrenals and

Thyroid 8 months ago I still felt like I had not recovered from it. Now that I

am on HC and Armour I don't think I will get sick this winter. I feel I have

been getting sick every winter for the last 23 yrs. because I was Hypopituitary

and did not know it. So doing HC will keep me from getting sick this winter.

Hi Phil,

I find I am okay until I exercise too. Did you stress dose after your

session on the Tread Mill or just wait it out for 4 hours?

Phil, I used to get bronchitis every year, twice a year - it lasted for nine

years (I had pneumonia 3 times during that period) - I feel that I lost 9 years

due to being very ill about 8 months total out of the year. I was undiagnosed

hypoT at the time, but all of a sudden it stopped, and I have only had a couple

of very mild bouts since then. Asthma is an issue, and since I stopped the

" purple spaceship inhaler " (Advair) I am wheezing more and using my albuterol

more, but I read so much negative stuff about it that I cut it out. I am working

on the asthma from the alternative angle right now, but my question to you is do

you think that undiagnosed hypoT is why you (and myself) got sick with the

bronchitis? When I stopped getting bouts of it I was still undiagnosed and it

was several years before I got the diagnosis. What are your thoughts? Anyone?

Hi ,

I have to say in my case it is both low Thyroid and Cortisol in the book

" Adrenal Fatigue The 21 Century " talked about upper respiratory

infections and low cortisol levels. Also Dr. Jefferies talks about it a lot in

his book " Safe Uses for Cortisol " saying keeping ones levels up and stress

dosing stops bronchitis in it's tracks. I pray this works for me I am like you

get sick with it all winter every winter for as far back as I can remember. I

am not wheezing everyday now that I am doing HC 20mgs a day yet the last two

days I have been feeling very hot and wheezing and short of breath. Yet

everyone around me is sick with the flue and I am holding my own. Here is Mi.

it is 60 this is to hot for winter and flue is way up.

I have a pituitary problem and don't make enough Testosterone, Cortisol, DHEA,

Thyroid and my IGF-1 levels are low. I have been treating my low Testosterone

for 23 yrs. and the other things I listed were always low normal hell my blood

test were screaming Hypopituitary Problems. I have to take Arimidex in low

doses to keep my Estradiol down and feel my feeling hot all the time has

something to do with the Estradiol levels but my blood work shows it to be good.

So I don't know why I have days that I am wheezing and out of breath feeling

very hot and sweating.

I had my Dr. test my aldosterone, renin, sodium and potassium for

hyporeninemic hypoaldosteronism. I had this tested before so if this is good

next Tue. I don't know whey this is happening.

Hi, Phil,

How did you determine you have hypopituitary problems? Are you just

treating the symptoms, i.e., the other low functioning glands?

It's funny how this happened I have been sick with very low levels of

testosterone and been on HRT for it 23yrs now. I also have to keep my Estradiol

down the testosterone shots drive it up. When I frist got sick it was after a

bad auto accident. I kept asking the Dr.'s if this is why I am so sick I had

feelings of depression, fatigue and panic attacks. I pushed my self to get to

work until I could not get out of bed. After much testing I was told I am

suffering from Major Depression. I had to go alone with this because I was on

sick leave from work. I was put on every dam AD drug out there walking around

in a fog. After 5 yrs. of this a dam Dr. told my wife and work that I am not

getting better because I like being this way. This almost caused me to lose my

wife and job. Right at this time Prozac came out and I as put on this in 2

weeks I could not void and had a bad bladder infection. I went to see a Uro.

and after talking to me this Dr. told me he feels I am

not depressed but have low testosterone. This Dr. saved my life so to speck.

He told me I am Primary this means my testis don't work.

Just last yr. after being on testosterone meds for 23 yrs and not feeling a

100% I got my Dr. to let me add HCG (Human Chorionic Gonadotropin). The very

first shot I did I got this feeling of well being like someone lifted a ton of

weight off my shoulders. I later found out HCG makes your Cortisol go up some

and this was why I had this feeling. When we did my next blood test my levels

of testosterone doubled and I felt much better. So I am not Primary but

Secondary so something is wrong with my Pituitary. So we did an MRI and nothing

showed up. I talked to at the Hypopituitary Site he runs and told him

about my story we knew each other before and have talked about low testosterone

many times.

I told him that from day one my blood test we allways low normal for DHEA-S,

Cortisol, Thyroid, IGF-1 and Glucose. And the one test that was below normal

was Testosterone. He told me my tests were Screaming Hypopituitary. He asked

me if I ever had a bad head injury and a light went off in my head. I told him

about the auto accident and how the Dr.'s told me this could not cause this and

that my tests were low normal but I was OK I am in range. I have been sick all

these yrs. from a bad head injury do to a auto accident I was suing the drunk

that hit me and feel the Dr.s told me this was not the problem because they did

not want to end up in court. I won the low suet but never got a penny he filed

Bankruptcy.

Because of all the crap I went though I made it my mission in life to help

other men not to have to go through all the crap I went through. So like

Val.does here I help men at the Yahoo boards and 4 other sites. It was this

helping and meeting people like and Val that has me on the right road to

recovery.
