Guest guest
In the recent " Chemo " thread, it seemed as if the only people involved were ALL named Steve. We've got a Steve B, a Steve H, a Steve S in Arkansas (hi, Steve S!), and me, a Steve S in New York. Maybe we're all going about looking for a root cause the wrong way. Up until now, I've always thought it was pretty damned great being a Steve. Maybe I was foolish and shortsighted. All right then! How many of us here are Steves? Or were, perhaps, nick-named Steve while growing up? Or wanted to be a Steve. I mean, when I was growing up, my friends all used the term " Steve " and the various terms for the male sex organ rather interchangeably, so maybe there's THAT relation. Because it's obvious, isn't it? If you've got a " Steve, " you've got that risk. Follow-up note: Apparently, there ISN'T that correlation, since searching out the two best known on-line slang dictionaries, including: http://onlineslangdictionary.com/thesaurus/words+meaning+penis.html I find NO SUCH RELATIONSHIP. I think I'm going to go have a few strong words with my mates. BTW, If you ARE a Steve, don't go here: http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?page=1 & term=steve 1) It's open-source 2) It's a time-suck, and 3) Apparently, there are a LOT of people who are very, very jealous of us Steves (as my parents would say). PS: I mean this as no disrespect for all the non-Steves on this forum (and obviously, for allthe Steves, as well); I just thought that perhaps some of us could use a good guffaw, chuckle or snort. --Steve S, New York
