Guest guest
Scientists at Canada's Sunnybrook Research Institute are developing and commercializing a promising novel therapy for the treatment of prostate cancer that may offer patients a faster and more precise treatment than existing clinical alternatives, with fewer side effects. The new treatment-magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)-guided transurethral ultrasound-uses heat from focused ultrasound to treat cancer in the prostate gland precisely while sparing the delicate noncancerous tissues around the prostate essential for healthy urinary, bowel and sexual function.Click on below link for the full story:<http://www.news-medical.net/?id=41479> While the FDA has approved clinical trials now in process in the US, as a new prostate cancerpatient, it annoys the hell out of me that I'll need to travel to Canada, Mexico or Europeto be treated NOW with this superior technology (less invasive with fewer side effects).
