Hi Everyone,

My Bob has been started on Fludrocortisone 0.1MG daily on Wednesday

the 21st, while hospitalized with a blood infection. They have found

he has developed postural hypotension. His BP dropped to 54/35 this

evening at 5:00 pm when they stood him up to transfer to the geri

chair at the bedside to eat supper, so they put him back to bed just

that quickly. This morning they had him up walking in the hall with

the Physical Therapist and he did pretty well with no drop in

pressure. Anyone here have a LO with Postural Hypotension on

Fludrocortisone? Does it work and how long does it take to be

effective? Please share any experience you may have with this issue.

Thanks,

Pat

Wife/caregiver of Bob 75, dx PD 2003, LBD 2009, now in hospital.
