Guest guest Posted May 21, 2001 Report Share Posted May 21, 2001 Hi . I getting ready to start my first IVF cycle soon, just miscarried, and am very nervous also. Last step before adoption or maybe surrogacy. I plan to get some info this week sicne my husband has my car today so we can plan ahead and have also been thinking of adoption from Russia since geting an infant in CA will take too long. I now also have borderline FSH levels, figures after all this something else pops up and we did want to wait till later to have kids when we first got married, so if it's an egg thing then that will help us be more confortable with our decision for adoption (plus surrogacy would be out of the question) since if our problems are only due to lining issues because of what my OB did to me then it's really hard to accept it and move forward. Thus, I can relate to your thinking on the eggs stuff. IVF is a huge step however it will give closure to our issues and hopefully lead us down a path we're confortbale with. Looking back I wish my RE would have been more responsvie to starting us first with IVF insted of 6 IUI's and having an ectopic and miscarriage because the egg issue is never fully addressed unitl you do IVF and that's the only other possibility for our problems however my RE thinks it's more my lining than an egg issue except you never know.
