Well, is still in alot of pain on the right side.

We went and saw the surgeon today and he said he should be up an in

little to no pain. Not as much as he is.

We explained that last year we came to see the Dr. about the pain on

the right, origanally. It was just a fluke with the prostate

cancer. He was surprised and ordered a CT scan. He thinks it is a

Hernia. So if that is the case he will have surgery to fix it.

had his catheter and staples (25) removed yesterday. Actually

last night because he could not deal with it no more. So went to

emergencey with the stuff from his surgery to prove it was ok for it

to be done.

Anyways, last night was DRY and all day today. We told the

surgeon and he said that was great. That it looks like he has full

control. But will not say it is 100% till he caughs, sneezes, or

lifts something and still dry. But can actually stop mid steam

and hold it. So the surgeon is not worried.

He asked about " erection " possibly at night. We said " yes " . He had

3 when he had the catheter at night. Rather uncumfotable. The Dr

was again thrilled. That is the 1st sign that he will be having full

erections very soon.

The dr was really amazed, erections and bladder control. It proved

that he did a good job at nerve sparing. But he was concerned about

the pain on the right. So now back to the drawing board. LOL

Also, the pathology report. Well to start off it is a good thing he

had the surgery, as there was more cancer then the biopsy shows.

Which the dr stated is usually the case.

But the pathology report stated: Right lobe 3.5cm tumor positive for

cancer, left lobe 1.0cm tumor also positive for cancer. Gleason was

still 3+3=6.

and I are so relieved with all the positves we have already.

So now it is just PSA every 3 months for 1 year, then every 6 then

once a year. He has his first FREE PSA and RATIO in 4 weeks.

There you have it guys.

thanks

Marla
