First Katcha, thank you for the welcome, this is an entirely new way of

thinking for me, and I know it won't be easy!

I've been reading through all of the posts, and the scale is a big

thing for me. I weigh myself about 20 times a day. Obviously, I know

this is obsessive, but I don't know how to stop. It does keep me from

going over my 'high weight'. I gained my weight with pregnancies, and

have never been able to get it all off, but I never go over that 'high

weight' that I hit with my 3rd son. I'm the only person I know who goes

on vacation and loses weight. This is because I don't have my scale,

and I'm afraid to eat much of anything while I'm away from the scale. I

know what I 'should' weigh at every hour the day, I know eating Cheez-

It's makes me retain water for 2 days, and I know laying off the salt

and diet sodas will make me lose water. I'm hoping that I can get that

scale cut from my ankle, and not feel that compulsion to be on 'a

diet', because obviously they don't work, or by now I would be

skinny!!! I don't know if any of you are quite as obsessed as I am,

sometimes I think what I need isn't a diet guru, but possibly a

psychiatrist!
