Fibroids and back pain

Hey Guys,

I have had fibroids for over a year now, it was discovered when I started

menopause. I was put on HRT treatment and about a six months or so later,

I started bleeding. My doctor did a vaginal sonogram and discovered the

tumors. The provera I am taking was increased to 10mgs, the highest the

doctor said I could go. It stopped the bleeding but a little over a month

ago, I started having back pain. My daughter, who is a Chiropractor,

thought the fibroids might be causing the back problem. I just saw my

doctor yesterday and she seems to be a little baffled. The last sonogram

showed a slight increase in size of the uterus and fibroids, nothing

significant. I am now going to have a CT scan and have to consult with a

gastrointestinal specialist. I think they are trying to rule out any kind

of malignancy. I am 54 and have been on HRT for about two years now.

My question is has anyone ever experienced any back pain due to their

fibroids? I also get heart burn, but never thought about that it could be

caused from the fibroids! Boy, there is sure a lot to learn.

Thanks for your input

Dottie
