Guest guest
It is best to take zolmitriptan at the first sign of a migraine. However, you can take the medicine at any time during the migraine, and it should still help. This medicine relieves migraine headaches, but will not prevent a migraine. You should only take zolmitriptan when you actually have a migraine. Usually one dose is taken when you have a migraine. If the first dose helped relieve your migraine, but the migraine comes back later, you can take a second tablet 2 hours after you took the first tablet (but wait at least 2 hours). If the first tablet did not provide any relief, talk with your doctor before taking more medicine. You should not use more than 10 mg (milligrams) of this medicine in 24 hours. 10 mg is 4 of the 2.5-mg tablets OR 2 of the 5-mg tablets. Some patients experience pain or tightness in the chest or throat when using Zomig tablets. If this happens to you, then discuss it with your doctor before using any more ZOMIG® Tablets. If the chest pain is severe or does not go away, call your doctor immediately. Shortness of breath; wheeziness; heart throbbing; swelling of eyelids, face, or lips; or a skin rash, skin lumps, or hives happens rarely. If it happens to you, then tell your doctor immediately. Do not take any more ZOMIG® Tablets unless your doctor tells you to do so. Some people may have feelings of tingling, heat, heaviness or pressure after treatment with ZOMIG® Tablets. A few people may feel drowsy, dizzy, tired, or sick. Tell your doctor immediately if you have symptoms that you do not understand.
