/ also Info on low platelets

Hi ...

Thanks for the info on the check!! I hope I get mine today also. I'm glad it

isn't taking so long this time around.

Also....does anyone ever have bloodwork done and the platelets run a little

low? The norm for a female is 140 to 350 I believe. Mine have been hovering

around 120. The rheumy's office called me to tell me they were a tad low but

when I talk to my rheumy during my appt, he says not to worry unless they hit

50 and then he will send me to a hematologist. My last 3 labs were 120-127-and

120 again. He said we have so many platelets that he wouldn't worry about it

but then why do they call to worry you? LOL I know they have to do that but

still..... I am on folic acid 3 mg. He also said that the r/a meds can

cause lower platelet counts.

Anyone have any info on this? I have done a search but just wondering if any

of you have experienced this themselves?
