That's awesome!!! I need to do that soon...probably this weekend and I know there's gonna be lots that doesn't fit. I'll remember your experience and do the same! iv_adb wrote: This week the weather has turned cold, and I turned to my cool weather clothes. I got out a pair of jeans for the first time in months. They used to fit perfectly. Okay, moving on.... A skirt. It zips, but it's tight. I could use it if I wanted to walk like a mummy for halloween. I had quite a pile on the bed before I found

something I could wear. Normally this would ahe left me feeling so overwhelmed and defeated, I'd have given up on myself for a time. Instead I just put the clothes that didn't fit away out of sight, and went on with my day. For the first time in years, I feel like I'm on my way back to me.

I've got a lot of empty space in my closet, but it was a lot more pleasant going

in there this

am and beign able to wear everythign that I saw - rather than having a lot of

clothes - but

nothing to wear.

First I would like to say - GOOD for you. That is such a smart thing

to do, not only clothes wise but for yourself too.

I am finding this (clothes that fit) to be the one thing that is

bugging me at this moment. I like wearing the clothes I have bought

and made because I know they are the 'right' ones for me. When I go to

put something on and its 'snugger' than it ought to be its hard to not

be mad about it. I miss not being able to wear that item :( I have to

wonder if I would be equally as upset if the item were too loose to

wear attractively?!? I plan on sticking to IE so that I get the chance

to find out too.

This is so cool! I did the same thing with my closet this year. I even

go a step further and take them straight to goodwill. I am worth the

extra money to buy clothes that fit and I feel wonderful in. One of my

tricks it to buy clothes that are completly interchangeable. I can wake

up blind and dress myself lol. That way with the fewest possible pieces

I have the biggest possible wardrobe and can throw away things as they

start not to fit.

I have been stuggling with the idea of buying clothes since I gained weight.

Just this last

month I bought a couple of things. It's not a lot, but it's a start and I do

think it made a

difference in how I felt about myself.
