Guest guest
Hello Terry, my apologies for overlooking your website - yananow.net. I have it now. In August last year I had a TURP done but it was unrelated to the detection of PC. It wasn't until about 3 months ago when my prostate became infected that they did a biopsy and the urologist made the decision to remove only the cancerous cells. Now I've been told that the cancer is still there and have to wait for more than a month to have another biopsy. Regards: Mal > > > > > > > > > > > Hello all, > > > I'm new to this group. Guest guest
Mal, That is what is confusing us all – it is virtually impossible to <snip> ….remove only the cancerous cells. <snip>, especially in Australia and especially in smaller towns. There are therapies like focal cryotherapy which is aimed at only cancerous tissue, but identifying that is a very difficult task. I’m guessing you never got copies of any reports from your doctors, pathologists etc. Can I suggest you get those now and let us know what they say. All the best Terry Herbert I have no medical qualifications but I was diagnosed in ‘96: and have learned a bit since then. My sites are at www.yananow.net and www.prostatecancerwatchfulwaiting.co.za Dr “Snuffy” Myers : " As a physician, I am painfully aware that most of the decisions we make with regard to prostate cancer are made with inadequate data " From: ProstateCancerSupport [mailto:ProstateCancerSupport ] On Behalf Of gilfam9093 Sent: Saturday, 7 March 2009 11:43 AM To: ProstateCancerSupport Subject: Re: Hi, new here.
