Guest guest
Hi Everyone! Has anyone been told that their fibroids are calcifieing (spelling?)? Has anyone heard whether or not UAE can be performed successfully if your fibroid has calcification? My gyn/ob said that since my fibroid appears to be hardening that it may not shrink with UAE. He also said that all of his patients who have had UAE had to have a hysterectomy afterwards. (Before he mentioned 2 patients that needed a hyst after UAE.) His suggestion for treatment was to try a 3 month shot of DepoPronera (Spelling? Sorry, I can't read Dr's handwriting.) and then do a vaginal hysterectomy with a belly button incision in order to do a bladder suspension. Has anyone heard about this drug or used it? Any symptoms? I have UAE scheduled for next Thursday, June 7th with another Dr. an I.R.. Should I go ahead with the UAE and just hope and pray that it works? Thanks for any replies. I need the advice, help, comments, etc. Thanks again, Ruth Ann in TX __________________________________________________
