Hormone shot to buy some time?

I was diagnosed in late Dec. as a T1c with a Gleason score of 8(3+5).

Recent bone scan was negative. Does it make since to request a hormone

shot now while waiting to hear from my insurance company regarding

benefits for the various treatment options. I am leaning toward proton

beam therapy or IMRT.

Thanks for any advice.
