Guest guest
Has anyoneon this list had a stress test using adenosine a shot to stimulate the heart. It is also a nuclear shot. My doctor with no reason that I can think of ordered a stress test. I called the cardiac nurse this morning with some questions. and she couldn't answer any of them. My doctor won't take a telephone call so I have to write to him.any information about the adenosine shot and the follow up cardiolite injection would be appreciated. Guest guest
I had it done a couple of years ago, Dave. They give you the IV injection and your heart speeds up like you are exercising-but you are lieing on a bed. The doc can stop the test by giving another med IV if you start having angina pain. As your heart speeds up, you really feel like you are doing hard exercise. stress test Has anyoneon this list had a stress test using adenosine a shot to stimulate the heart. Guest guest
I had the test about two years ago. it only last about four minutes, but it sure was a different kind of feeling. my whole body was vibrating and my head was sweating. the longest four minutes of my life. they had me just sitting up in a chair. the heart doc didn't want me to get on the tred mill because he thought since I was blind I would fall off. I tried to tell him that wouldn't happen, but he had all ready made up his mind. I don't know if the chemical stress test is as good as the tred mill or not, but if I need to have it again I will do the tred mill. stress test > > Has anyoneon this list had a stress test using adenosine a shot to > stimulate the heart. Guest guest
I know two people who had that type of test. Both of them came through fine, although one had a bit of trouble. In his case, the machine they were using stopped working and they had to get it going again. He said it felt strange and your heart really goes a mile a minute. He had no ill effects after it was finished and resumed his normal routine. stress test > Has anyoneon this list had a stress test using adenosine a shot to > stimulate the heart. Guest guest
I know a number of people who have had -or are waiting for-kidney/pancreas transplants. They all had to have a cardiac cath. A couple of them ended up having to have by-pass surgery because of blockage. Mayb e all you will have to have done is a stint. Re: stress test Dear Patrisha, I wasn't told anything until I called to find out how the paper work was coming for my kidney operation. Then my case managor said, You will need to have a heart cath before the trans plant. I was shocked I called the place that did the test and had them read the rezults to me. They say I have slow or blockage to one part of my heart. Go figure. I will shut up now. *smile* stress test >> >> >>> Has anyoneon this list had a stress test using adenosine a shot to >>> stimulate the heart.
