Wedding Plans

Dee,

Things are a bit up in the air with our wedding plans as the last few months

have been rather stressful and will continue to be so. Both of our mothers

have had or are booked for vascular surgery. Caroline's Mom had a carotid

endarterectomy done on one side and then three days later suffered a stroke

on the other side. She's made a good recovery from not being able to talk,

walk or swallow. But now she needs surgery on that side. My Mom is booked

for a new aortic valve and triple bypass next month, about a month exactly

before our planned wedding. We've decided to skip the planned honeymoon for

now but we will probably have a smaller ceremony with just our friends as

witnesses and then, perhaps down the road, have a party with our family and

friends.
