Did you have the full wrap? How are doing after the Surgery? Do you still need water to wash the food down? Can you eat everything now? What was the recovery time? Were you on the clear liquids before and after surgery? a <paulastuhlman@...> wrote: My surgery with wrap was close to 5 hours. 4 hrs, 45 min.a in St. Louis>> Hi All,> > Thanks for your advice. Recovery was much better than I expected. I can eat most things on my

better days with the added help of water going down, Meats off the

BBQ and breads and bananas are a real no no.

I was on pureed foods for a month. I just didn't matter though, the

fact that I could eat was so wonderful. Then slowly graduated to soft

foods and slowly increased the foods. The E needs 3 months to fully

recover.

I was in hospital for 3 days in total mostly coz I live too far away

and had to stay in a hotel after coming out of hospital.

My biggest problem has been the chest pains/spasms. The surgery was

in Oct 2005 and they are now giving me far less trouble.

I can sleep flat on the bed and don't wake up choking any more.

I now have problems with fatigue which I am trying to work out if it

is A. I have absolutley no regrets for having had the surgery.

I hope this helps, any other questions fire ahead.

Regards

Dr. Swanson:

My office is over 100 miles from Portland, so I don't fit your requested

location.

And while I may be able to decipher " BS " , having been exposed to so much

over the past 30 years, " EB " is the conflicting part of your challenge

which I can not over come. Assigning " evidence based " to be " EB " ~and

perhaps I am in error here~~~

Without " EB " I would be at a loss to determine whether your sister has a

disc problem or something else;

Without " EB " I would be unable to determine what, if any, type of

chiropractic care to provide;

Without " EB " I would be unable, in any of the dozen techniques I am

passably familiar, to determine whether she was improving or worsening.

Without " EB " I would be in violation of the practice of the Art, Science

and Philosophy of Chiropractic, as determined by our state licensing board.

So without the " BS EB " , I would be unable to help your sister regardless

of where my office was located.

Thank you for your invitation.
