Guest guest
Sorry to be so long in getting back to you, but we were away seeing our mother's, both of whom were in the hospital. My Mom because of complications of arrythmia and over doing it because she was feeling sooo good after her heart surgery and Caroline's Mom having her second carotid artery surgery (she is now home and doing well as is my Mom). There are about 100 different diseases that can give you cirrhosis. Her docs may have discontinued her BP meds because her BP is now very low. This is a common thing in people with cirrhosis. This makes treating varices by using beta-blockers difficult because they drop an already low BP a bit too low and people get orthostatic hypotension, low BP that gets too low when you get up from lying down or standing. End result is you faint and fall, causing damage to your body as you hit various objects in the area you fall to. Aubrey
