Guest guest
I think the prime benefit of having ANY allergy is that it makes you more aware of what you are putting into your mouth! ________________________________ From: rd-usa [mailto:rd-usa ] On Behalf Of Judy D. Guest guest
It is a funny way to phrase it, but KNOWING you have the allergies if you do is such a blessing...much less pain! But in general, it is a jumping off point for many people to wonder why there are so many unrecognizable words on their labels, and a good incentive to eat whole foods. Guest guest
I agree Cheryl! The frustrating thing for my patients prior to testing is feeling terrible and not knowing why. Knowing what you are reactive to gives the patient a feeling of control over his/her health. Another benefit my patients frequently mention is that being allergic or sensitive to wheat and dairy has forced them to try different grains and dairy alternatives and they are always pleasantly surprised to find that they really enjoy the new variety in their diet!
