So, not only do they not take insurance (but said that they'd like to), but none of their services, nor labs they request can be submitted for insurance coverage. I'm just about maxed out on credit right now with all of this - not working, paying out of pocket for tests, consults, etc. I'm not sure how to proceed. May just have to wing it & hope for the best. I'm not above going into further debt for it...just want to make sure I can continue what I start!

Guest guest
, I'd bet they take the testing that you've already had done. It sure couldn't hurt to ask. Guest guest
, I know what you mean about it being expensive. My first visit with my new doc was $1500 out of pocket. The amount I've spent on supplements, I wouldn't even want to total up, but I know it would easily add up to at least $200 a month. The information I've found has been a goldmine though and I'll gladly continue to pay out to get the kind of care that it is aimed at my and my daughter's continued good health. I can't put a price tag on that, especially where my daughter is concerned. When you have a kid with a serious chronic illness and all the doctors are interested in is the status quo, it's a sorry state of affairs. I'm fortunate in that I'm able to spend the money it takes to do this, but even if I wasn't able, I'd find a way. Who treats your daughter's diabetes? Warmly,
Guest guest
, For the moment we're stuck with a pedi endo for her care. Her old endo, whom I liked retired a few months ago and the guy who took his place is an arrogant ass, who only became an attending doctor this past summer. It usually takes them a few years to gain that much arrogance, so he really concerns me. I'm looking for another doctor for her, but I refuse to use a particular children's hospital here in Houston, so it really limits my choices.
