Guest guest
Thanks, and . I did end up buying the Gittleman book, and have gotten some useful info and ideas out of it. It does " prescribe " more carbs than I am currently eating, but it gives interesting meal ideas that can be trimmed a little. I'm moderate carbing, 100-120 carbs a day, so there's a lot that applicable. Basically, I'm finding my own way, combining ideas that make sense and trying them to see what works best. It's really not too far off from what my nutritionist recommended. She said 30-45 g. of carbs per meal, and I'm averaging 30. I have the Bernstein book on order from Amazon, and it should be here any day. I read and enjoyed Becker's book. By the way, reducing my morning carbs to around 15 g. is working great. Today, BG reading 1 hour post breakfast was 105. My first follow up appointment with my doctor is on Monday, so we'll see how I'm really doing then, I guess.
