Hi Ann,

Regarding Remicade and costs ... have you spoke with Remicade's patient

assistance program? I was unemployed for 3 months and still had insurance

coverage but couldn't afford my $100 copay for my infusion. Remicade's

manufacturer, Centocor, approved me for patient assistance for 6 months at no

charge. They even paid for my 1st treatment after I started a new job because my

new insurance had a 2 week waiting period to approve Remicade, which would have

interrupted my schedule. They realize that only millionaires can afford to

totally pay for it. Even if your insurance company refuses to let you try

Remicade they will pay for 1 year -- usually the insurance companies change

their mind. What do you have to lose by asking?

Good luck,
